3rd Annual Egg Roulette

It's almost Easter! This year we celebrated a little early because it falls during spring break and a lot of people are travelling. We are not-we will be spending spring break cleaning out our things deciding what items bring us joy and which items we will be selling before our big move to China.

To continue our Easter tradition, we held our 3rd annual Egg Roulette. Last year and the year before
we had head to head competitions with a dozen eggs per pair-8 hard boiled and 4 raw, the first person to break 3 raw eggs on their head was the loser. This year we switched it up and did it tournament style, which mixed everyone up and gave us lots of chances to make our hair shiny with an egg.

Jeff figuring out the bracket. How many ugly shirts does he own?!

It was messy and fun and ultimately Ruby came away with the championship!

Here's the video:

  1. This was the highlight of my weekend. I loved the tournament style! We just need to do it one more time so Thomas can compete and I can beat Ruby!

  2. Hi Irish and Jim - just wanted to say thanks so much for this blog. I have no idea how I originally found it, but have spent the past few weeks reading all about your family's adventures in Korea and at KIS. My husband and I are set to start at KIS in August and our two kids will be attending JK and, we're starting out roughly where you were four years ago. Again, thanks so much - initially I set out looking for practical advice on the big move, ideas about what to bring and what to buy (and what they actually sell at Costco in Korea), but you've both provided so much more and I have appreciated you sharing your story - especially the parent and family perspective. Thanks again and all the best as you move on to your next adventure in China!

    1. Yay! You'll love KIS. Email me with ANY questions
